Types of Filtration
Liquid Filtration: The most common form, where solid particles are separated from liquids. Examples include water filtration, oil filtration, and chemical process filtration.
Gas Filtration: Used to remove particulates or contaminants from gases, such as air filtration in HVAC systems or gas filtration in chemical plants.
Membrane Filtration: Involves the use of semi-permeable membranes to separate particles at the molecular level, common in water treatment and beverage production.
Vacuum Filtration: Uses a vacuum to draw the liquid through the filter, often used in chemical and pharmaceutical industries.
Pressure Filtration: Involves applying pressure to force the liquid through the filter medium, commonly used in dewatering applications.
